Why so many Denominations?

Q Why are there so many denominations and which one is the right one for me?

A There are so many denominations because so few want to follow the apostles doctrine!  We have many denominations because each one has a doctrine they emphasis over the other. If we all followed the 'apostles doctrine' (Acts 2:42) which is the doctrine of the church and may I add the only doctrine for the church then we will have, one Church. The apostles doctrine is the doctrine of God. What is the doctrine of God? The revelation of Jesus, because Jesus is the one true God. This was the belief of the prophets (Isaiah 44,45 and 9:6). This was the belief of the apostles (John 1:1,13) The church is built on the apostles and prophets foundation ( Eph 2:20) their revelation of God. If folks had the revelation of Jesus as God then we have 'one Lord one faith and one baptism.' and not multi-faith inter-faith or any old faith. (Eph 4:5).

Everyone today talks of 'unity.' as in acts 2 Well it's only possible when we get back to unity of doctrine as in Acts 2. If we all adhere to the apostles doctrine as given in Acts 2:42 and the way to get saved as in Acts 2:38 then we can have church, call ourselves the church, and be born again to legally become the church. For in reality there is and can only be one church.

Let's face it every church will have in its tenets of faith 'we believe the bible to be the word of God.' yet in reality there are tens of thousands of different denominations and organisations within Christianity. Why? Since the bible is the revelation of God, the question is not do I believe the written 'word' the bible but what do I believe about the 'word' made flesh. This would separate those who truly know the lord and those that just believe the bible, so to say.

The issue is, we don't disagree on what the bible says, but we do disagree on what the bible does not say. The bible says, God is one and that one God became flesh. The world needs right now to see this revelation and so does the church. When Christians can believe this, which is a commandment of the Lord (Exodus 20:3-5,7) the church will be one, just as Jesus intended. (John 17:11). The issue thats dividing churches is not the bible its the doctrine of the trinity, and until we rediscover God in Christ we can never be one.

So which denomination is right for you?  the one that preaches Jesus and the apostles doctrine as in the book of Acts. Which basically is 'Jesus is God.' get that right and all other aspects of one's doctrine will line up to the apostles teaching.
