How do I Discern a new season in my life?
Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 8:59AM Q. It seems as if God wants to do something new in my life. I'm called to the ministry but how do I know if m making the right move.
A. Sometimes God has us in a new season. We often want to change things when it could be God wants us to Grow into things. The choice is change or growth? In the natural a years is made up of seasons seasons of growth like spiring and summer, and seasons of death and change like autumn and winter. You should allow God to 'shift' things in you. Your vision will always be the same yet things that don't work or no longer work maybe you have to let go off and die. Similarly the things that you have in you as seed should be allowed to be developed and grow.
You may have ideas that are in seed form that you have struggled with for years. Dont discard them but develop them. God gives ideas. There is a season of the 'coming forth' of your ministry idea. Dont change it, grow it!
Secondly, What comes out of you is a sign of what God has put into you. What is coming out of you right now indicates what you aught to be doing right now. every thing has its season. and today's season may be different than last season. It may be a new word a new revelation a new truth you have discovered the shift in season always begins with a fresh word from heaven and that could alter your assignment as of now but your calling always is always the same.
