Covenant Loyalty

“BLOOD BROTHERS” this week on

David and Jonathan had made a covenant. A covenant benefits the other more than the one making it. It ensure the SURVIVAL, PROMOTION and POSITION of the one that needs you as a brother and you as a friend.

Now Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to Allis servants, that they should kill David; but Jonathan, Sauls son, delighted much in David. Then Jonathan told David saying my Father Saul seeks to kill you, therefore please be on your guard until morning and stay in the secret place and hide: (1 Sam 19:1-2)

Jonathan was Saul’s Son the Crown Prince, yet he sought the promotion of David who was highly favoured in the land even celebrated as a hero, and as one greater than his own father Saul. Jonathan protected David, he protected him, promoted him and positioned him for greatness, although that meant for him the loss of the crown…
PRAYER, God give me the humility to stop and make others greater than myself, help me to promote royalty and elevate those more gifted able and capable to their rightful place, in Jesus name (Ephesians 4:11,12. 1 Samuel 19:1-7),
