Pilgrimage for Adventurers Only.
Blessed are those whose strength is in You, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. (Psalm 84;5).
1.Blessed is the man. (v5a)
How blessed is the man whose strength is in thee. Do you know how blessed you are? Many find their strength and sustenanc from their income and employment pay check and place of residence. but the man who sets his heart of pilgrimage finds his strength in God. God blesses the man whose heart is set on pilgrimage. The pilgrim, whose heart is et on pilgrimage.
In my teens I received a prophetic word from the church. it was “go into all the world and preach the gospel,” The word has never left me. A couple of nights ago, I awoke from a dream, the Lord had said to me “Go” that’s a simple word and for that I am grateful, for it allows me to fill in the blanks the details. it was God saying God ahead add your ideas and make it happen, whatever ideas and plans you have, they are from me so GO build with them and make it happen. I’m grateful God allows us the right to add what he has already given us so that we can pursue with confidence his agenda.
2.The believers Pilgrimage stems from a Divine desire of the heart.
The scripture came to me “delight yourself in the Lord and he shall give you the desire of thine heart” That’s it, my desires were my sticking point. “ I had been questioning “Lord are these thoughts of me or are they from you?” It was a battle, then the Lord said, The desires you have are what I have given. “He shall give you” the desires of your heart, yes those desires are of God.
3.The believers pilgrimage will encounter trials that will birth revival.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; even the autumn rain covers it with pools.… (6) Baca, valley of “Bitterness” I like what it says here pass through the valley it does not say “stay and lodge” the bitter experiences are but temporary and should not provide lodgings in our mind or conversation. Bitter experiences make us better, the more we conquer the little stuff the greater our faith rises for things higher. Strange too, how the man of God whose struggle is in pilgrimage often finds that this bitter experiences are the very reason why he has revival. It’s as if his his encounters with adversity bests prepares his for influence in worship. He turns warfare into worship and challenges into a celebration.
The man on Pilgrimage holds revival!
